International seminar «Molecular Allergology in Clinical Practice» organized by the laboratory «StarLab» and pharmaceutical company «Tetrada» in collaboration with HVD and Ukrainian School of Molecular Allergology (USMA) and supported by Association of Immunologists and Allergologists of Azerbaijan and Division of Allergology of Azerbaijan Medical University was held in Baku at January 14, 2016.
Event devoted to the methods of molecular allergodiagnostics and interpretations of results has gathered 79 medical professionals including allergologists, immunologists, pediatricians, and otolaryngologists from AMU, state and private clinics from Baku and other cities and regions of Azerbaijan. During the seminar, two speeches in molecular allergodiagnostics were presented:
«Methods of in vitro allergodiagnostics and quality aspects of sIgE assessment. Basics of molecular allergology. ISAC allergy microarray» by Dr. Alexander Hill (HVD Vertriebs GmbH, Vienna, Austria)
«Basics of molecular allergeology. Clinical importance of components, interpretation of results and AIT prescription principles. ISAC allegro microarray» by Sergey Yuriev (vice-president of USMA, Kiev, Ukraine).
Head of Children diseases department of AMU and the Association of Immunologists and Allergologists of Azerbaijan prof. Amalya Yagubova has hosted and moderated the event.
Speeches gave start to the discussion how to apply the method and interpret received results. Considering the fact that ImmunoCAP and ISAC tests are available in Baku this event has aroused great interest both in scientific and practical aspects for many clinicians.
International seminar «Molecular Allergology in Clinical Practice» was organized as the preparation for the educational project «First School of Molecular Allergology in Baku» by INUNIMAI and Medical University of Vienna.
